  2) Demonstration.  To demonstrate surface tension; compare a droplet of water with a droplet of oil on three different surfaces: plastic, metal & glass.  To demonstrate capillarity, place two different capillary tubes and a plastic tube of similar diameter into a beaker of water.  Compare the difference in the height of the water in each tube.

2) Discuss the radioactive decay series of Uranium-235.  Read the half-life of each nuclide in the series.  Particularly note the half-life of gaseous Radon (Rn) which can be found in many of our homes.  If we inhale gaseous Radon and then it decays it transmutes into solid radioactive Polonium (Po)which can become trapped in our         lungs.  Radon is a known cause of lung cancer.  Consider going to the hardware store and buy an easy to use radon detector.  Radon is a common in the Poconos.
